Latrobe Sunday 24th May  Get along to the NWFL Real Mates Colts league games at Latrobe Football Club! An exciting gala day with all Real Mates Colts league games being played at the same ground over the day. Players will be wearing yellow footy socks, goal posts will be wrapped in yellow, and National Road Safety Week activities will be happening! Check out the fixture for the day on PlayHQ.

Street Display George Town Sunday 17th May to Sunday 24th May George Town Council will support National Road Safety Week 2026 by displaying National Road Safety Week street flags throughout the town’s main street, helping raise awareness of safer road user behaviour and reinforcing key road safety messages within the community.

Ride Aware, Ride Safe Hosted by: Tasman Council Thursday 21st May A fun and interactive day focused on bicycle safety on rural roads, featuring activities with first responders and a mini road track complete with traffic lights, crossings and road signs to help educate children about road rules and safe riding practices.
National Road Safety Week Community Awareness Hosted by: Huon Valley Council Sunday 17th to Sunday 24th May Huon Valley Council will mark National Road Safety Week 2026 through a series of community-focused road safety initiatives, including local video testimonials shared on Council’s Facebook page, road safety messaging displayed along the Huon Highway, and awareness activities featuring NRSW vehicle stickers, and lapel pins. The campaign will highlight the impacts of road trauma and encourage safer behaviour on local roads.

Hosted by: Southern Midlands Council

Thursday 21st May The Southern Midlands Council, together with Tasmania Police, is hosting a community road safety event aimed at promoting safer driving behaviours and increasing awareness of road safety initiatives. Attendees will have the opportunity to meet emergency response personnel including SES and the Transport Safety Investigation Unit, learn more about road safety and crash response, and enjoy a free BBQ and drinks while connecting with the community.
