The RSAC Tassie Hawks Cup seeks to encourage and inspire young Tasmanians, by bringing the best of the best together to compete across the state’s high school football season. The competition runs for 14 weeks across terms 2 and 3. This year there were 39 boys teams across 32 schools and 31 girls teams across 30 schools equating to approximately 1600 players in total. The RSAC Tassie Hawks Cup uses its state-wide reach and profile across a mid-teen cohort to deliver safe driving messages and encourage positive driving behaviour as they start their learner driving journey.
We’re proud to share a powerful new video featuring Dylan Moore, Vice-Captain of the Hawthorn Football Club.
“It’s easy to think a crash won’t happen to you. But when you hear the stories from people on the frontline, you realise how quickly lives can change.” – Dylan Moore, Vice-Captain, Hawthorn Football Club
Dylan visited the Launceston General Hospital to meet the people who see, every day, the devastating aftermath of serious car crashes:
🩺 Dr David Penn, Orthopaedic Unit Head
🩺 Alexandra Vos, Emergency Nurse
🩺 Annalese Peck, Associate Nurse Unit Manager
🩺 Linda Dalco, Nurse Unit Manager
🩺 Dr Laurent Willemot, Orthopaedic Junior Consultant
🚓 Inspector Nick Clark, Tasmania Police
In Beyond the Crash, Dylan hears the heartbreaking stories of trauma, recovery, and resilience – from the medical teams working tirelessly to save lives, to the police officers delivering devastating news to families.
This is not just a sports story. This is about real people, real consequences, and real change. Because behind every crash statistic, there are families shattered, futures changed, and medical journeys that last long after the headlines fade.
Watch now and reflect on the impact of every choice we make on the road. Every decision matters. Every life matters.
